Dow Jones Family Selling California Mansion for $7 Million (House of the Day)

Hugh and Joy Bancroft, members of the family that once owned the Dow Jones & Company publishing empire (of The Wall Street Journal fame), have put their sprawling California mansion on the market. The 10,000-plus-square-foot property, located in Rancho Santa Fe, is listed for almost $7 million. It sits on nearly six acres of land with its own private lake, barn, arena, lush gardens and pool. The main house boasts five spacious bedrooms, six bathrooms, a chef's kitchen and a wine cellar.

So why are the Bancrofts selling this magnificent home, you may wonder? Well it's certainly not because they're broke.
