Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Hits Estimates in Solid Quarter

EPS came in at $0.28. The four earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ averaged $0.28 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.06 for Q4 were 50% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.04 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 47.2%, 250 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 35.2%, 370 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 31.7%, 150 basis points better than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $4.41 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.25.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $20.25 billion. The average EPS estimate is $1.15.
