City of Houston Offering Amnesty for Citations

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Beginning January 22, 2013, City of Houston traffic and non-traffic citations that were delinquent on or before October 21, 2012 can be paid online at reduced rates. This amnesty period also dismisses some Failure to Appear charges and clears some outstanding warrants, along with the associated fees., the mobile-friendly online ticket payment service for the City of Houston, reflects the updated fees owed for eligible citations.

The amnesty period runs from January 22 through February 8, 2013. "We encourage everyone who has a delinquent citation with the City of Houston to take advantage of this amnesty program by paying their fines at a reduced rate during this time," said Gwendolyn Goins, spokeswoman for the Municipal Courts.
