Honda Recalls 750,000 Vehicles

Updated

Automaker Hondaannounced today [link opens in PDF] that it is voluntarily recalling approximately 748,000 vehicles to address airbag issues .

Affected cars include model-year 2009 through 2013 Pilots, and model-year 2011 through 2013 Odysseys. The issue stems from the driver's side airbag, where potentially-missing rivets could cause improper deployment in the case of a crash. All recalled vehicles will be inspected and, if necessary, have the airbag replaced .

In December, Honda recalled approximately 318,000 Odysseys, 260,000 Pilots, and 230,000 Acura MDXs for ignition switch issues, resulting in roll-away vehicles .

Mailed notifications of the recall will be sent to vehicle owners in mid-February , and no crashes or injuries have been reported related to this issue . For more information, go to www.recalls.honda.com.
