RBF's Richard Rubin Selected to SAME Academy of Fellows

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Richard Rubin, P.E., AICP, LEED AP, executive vice president of RBF Consulting (RBF), a Company of Michael Baker Corporation (NYSE MKT:BKR), was recently selected to become a Fellow of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) at the Society's Board of Direction Meeting in December 2012. Rubin will be formally inducted into the Academy of Fellows at an investiture ceremony taking place on March 27, 2013, in Bethesda, Maryland.

SAME, originally formed in 1920 by Major General William M. Black, seeks to unite architecture, engineering, construction, facility management, and environmental entities and professionals in public and private sectors to capitalize on the collective knowledge of these individuals to prepare for, and overcome, disasters and to improve security at home and abroad. SAME's Academy of Fellows recognizes members that have rendered dedicated service to the Society and to military engineering.

Rubin has over 36 years of experience in the A/E/C industry and is a respected expert on military engineering projects. As both a Licensed Civil Engineer and a Certified Planner, he is uniquely qualified to provide leadership and direction on a wide variety of complex projects and issues. Actively involved in numerous professional associations, Rubin is a 29-year member of the SAME San Diego Post and an active member in the Orange County Post. He has held multiple SAME board positions and currently serves as past president of the San Diego Post as well as Deputy Regional vice president for the Southwest Region.
