On Monday, Brazilian plane maker Embraer announced its final tally of commercial and executive jets delivered to customers in calendar year 2012.
Over the course of the 12 months, the company delivered 106 commercial airplanes and 99 executive business jets, or 205 planes in total. The company's biggest seller was the Embraer 190 commercial jet, of which 10 units were delivered in the fourth quarter, and 62 for the full year.
The 2012 total is one higher than the 2011 total of 204, comprised of 105 commercial jets and 99 executive jets. The company's 2010 number was 246 jets delivered.
Heading into 2013, the company confirmed that its backlog now comprises 185 commercial jets, plus additional business jets and military work that bring the total value of firm order backlog to $12.5 billion -- or approximately two full years at current revenue run-rates.
