Vera Bradley CFO Resigns

On Friday, handbags and accessories maker Vera Bradley announced that Chief Financial and Administrative Officer Jeffrey A. Blade has resigned, effective immediately. The stated reason for the resignation was "to pursue other opportunities."

No replacement has yet been named, although Vera Bradley says a search for a new CFO is under way. In the meantime, company Controller and Chief Accounting Officer Kevin Sierks has been appointed interim CFO.

Shares of Vera Bradley closed 0.4% lower Friday ahead of the announcement, at $23.40.
