The Sims 3 goes to school, an island, the '70s, expansion crazy in 2013
The Sims 3 creators Maxis and EA have unfurled their map for expansions to the hit life simulator game in 2013. And, boy, is it enormous. In just about every season (no pun intended), The Sims 3 has something planned whether it be a "Stuff" pack or a full-blown expansion pack.
For starters, Jan. 22 will bring The Sims 3 70s, 80s & 90s Stuff Pack, which is loaded with outfits, hairstyles, decorations and even facial hair that are all oh, so retro. Then on March 5, the Sims are headed to college in The Sims 3 University Life expansion pack that will see players enroll their Sims in classes, earn degrees and ... do pretty much everything you saw in Animal House.
In June 2013, the Sims are headed for a vacay in the Island Paradise expansion pack, which has Sims head on an island adventure--in their posh, fully customizable houseboats, of course. (Did we mention scuba diving?) Finally, both an untitled Stuff Pack centered around movie themes and an untitled expansion are due for later in 2013.
EA and Maxis most definitely have their schedules filled when it comes to its cash cow, The Sims. Honestly, we're more than a bit surprised at this announcement, given that the game is nearly three years old. Then again, you could say that The Sims 3 is the Everquest of casual games. At any rate, check the trailer below.
