As you work to complete the Healthy Eating quests and dishes in ChefVille, you might notice an interesting ingredient: Tuna. This is required for the Seared Tuna Salad dish within the Healthy Eating Station. You'll need one Tuna for a single preparation of Seared Tuna Salad, but what if you don't have any in your inventory? Don't fret, because we're here to help you out.
While most ingredients are earned through basic ingredient stalls, or even through requests posted to your news feed or sent specifically to neighbors, none of those factors apply to Tuna. While a Tuna Boat does exist within the game, it's locked within the Japanese Fish Market expansion that we can't access yet. This leaves you to be a bit more creative in your search for Tuna.
If you weren't able to complete all of the Sushi Master Station goals when they were released a few weeks ago, you might have missed out on the Moon Pond in the store. This large ingredient "stall" can be purchased for 1,000 coins, and once built, gives a chance to collect Giant Tuna from its waters. These Giant Tuna are turned into the actual Tuna ingredient in the Wholesale Station, ending your problems, but it needs to be built first.
The Moon Pond requires right Fishing Poles, five Skipping Stones, and seven Moon Bridge Posts to build. The Skipping Stones are earned by posting a general request to your news feed, while the other two items are earned by sending out individual requests to your neighbors.
While this Moon Pond solves your long-term Tuna issues, the time limit for completing these Healthy Eating quests may not give you the opportunity to wait for friends to help out. In that case, visit friends and tend their Tuna dishes to earn Tuna from them for free. If nothing else, Madeline has a Tuna dish, and you can visit her five times in a single sitting. Just eat that Tuna dish each visit for five attempts at a Tuna in a single day.
It goes without saying that Tuna shouldn't be as limited of a dish as it is, especially if Zynga chooses to create events that require Tuna in order to progress, but with these tips, you should be sleeping--we mean--swimming with the fishes in no time. (Awkward.)
