Eclectic Florida Cottage Gets New Year's Price Cut (House of the Day)

It's the start of a new year, and to celebrate, we'd like to present a House of the Day that's anything but your ordinary. With every room painted in a different, lively hue and quirky decor to match, this colorful Key West home will surely brighten up your 2013 -- if you have a spare $2.998 million, that is.

According to our pals at Curbed, the delightfully colorful Florida cottage was listed this past spring for a much heftier $3.19 million. But just yesterday, perhaps to ring in the new year, the price was slashed to just under $3 million.

The 4,400-square-foot home features a fusion of eclectic and country-style decor, lush tropical plantings, a unique exterior kitchen decked out in blues and pinks, and character to boot (reminiscent, we think, of the MacKenzie Childs estate we filmed in upstate New York). See for yourself below.
