The Sims Social: Design a calendar for free SimCash

While it's likely that Playfish will hold a grand New Year's Eve fest in the Sims Social, the developer has already released a way for players to get in the spirit of New Year festivities and potentially earn themselves some SimCash in the process. If you find yourself creative and/or artistic, you'll want to participate in the game's new "Design a Calendar Cover" Contest, which is being held on the official Sims Social forums.

From now until January 9, Sims Social players can submit their best design for a potential cover of a Sims Social themed calendar. The medium doesn't matter, so feel free to create something in the real world and snap a photo of it (or scan it in), or create something digitally if you have the programs. The theme is really up to you here, so long as the game is Sims themed.

After January 9, the entries will be judged, and the grand prize winner will walk away with 300 SimCash! Since SimCash is pretty hard to come by this contest is definitely worth entering, even if you don't win the grand prize. Two additional players will win 200 and 100 SimCash each for second and third place. With the current purchase price of SimCash, that grand prize is worth around $40, so what are you waiting for?
