Boeing Finalizes Dreamliner Order

On Thursday, Boeing announced it has finalized an order to sell six of its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft to Aeromexico. Aeromexico took out a further four options to "reconfirm" orders for additional Dreamliners at a later date. All 10 of these planes are said to be part of a "set of 100 aircrafts" whose acquisition was announced earlier this year.

Aeromexico noted that this finalized order will increase the size of its 787 fleet to 19 aircraft, with the first of these planes to be delivered next summer.

In a statement, Boeing valued the deal at "more than $1.2 billion at published list prices." Regardless, shares of Boeing closed 0.2% lower Thursday at $75.83.
