Autobytel® Highlight: 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show

Autobytel Editors Recap World Debuts

IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Every year, car manufacturers inhabit the halls of the Los Angeles Convention Center, showcasing their hottest new cars at the Los Angeles Auto Show. With all the Hollywood-like glitz and glam, the LA Auto Show can drive anyone into sensory overload and overwhelm even the most seasoned automotive enthusiast. Fortunately, the editors at Autobytel Inc. (NAS: ABTL) , captured all the fun and spectacle of the show and created their highlight reel of the latest new vehicle introductions.

"There were over 50 new vehicle world debuts at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show," said Autobytel editor-in-chief Michelle Naranjo. "The Autobytel team covered every press conference and new vehicle introduction at the auto show. Not only do we have articles on our website, we also have videos on our YouTube page to show the vehicles to consumers who didn't have the chance to attend the show."

Concept Cars at the LA Auto Show
For many of us, nothing is more show stopping than the newest concept cars. Whether we've seen them on the silver screen or heard rumors about them through the grapevine, concept cars dazzle us with their innovative designs and audacious features. This year, Bentley featured its Continental GT3 Concept, a luxury race car that might be available to private buyers wanting the perfect track car. Also on display was the BMW i3 Concept, the luxury 3-door electric car of the future. And to please the youthful Millennials, Hyundai debuted the Veloster C3 Concept with a roll back canvas top and cargo area covered in a mosaic of recycled skateboard decks. Tony Hawk might even approve of this one.

Luxury and Sports Cars
Love luxury cars but want the speed and velocity of a sports car? These days, you can have both thanks to the newest models from Audi, Jaguar and Aston Martin to name a few. The all-new 2014 Aston Martin Vanquish made a splash at the LA Auto Show, making it one of this year's most popular attractions. Equally impressive was the 2014 Jaguar XFR-S, which combines high-performance and luxury into one with a V8, 5.0-liter engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission. Audi also stepped up to the plate by bringing the option of clean diesel to the states with 3 luxury sedans (A6, A7, A8) and its Q5 SUV.

SUV
In the ever-popular crossover SUV category, Ford, Fiat and Subaru were just a handful of manufacturers who went the extra mile to upgrade their vehicles. Fiat is jumping into the crossover race with its 2014 Fiat 500L 5-seater. Also noteworthy is the stylish 2014 Ford Transit Connect, a wagon by name, but the capacity to rival any minivan on the market. And if you have your eye on the Subaru Forester, you'll be happy to hear that the 2014 model has improved fuel efficiency and a turbo option to boost.
