The Simpsons spoofs Zynga once again with 'VillageVille' for 'MyPad'

Get it? Of course you do. The (arguably) most prolific prime time cartoon ever has tapped social gaming for a gag once more. In the latest episode of The Simpsons, Homer whips out his iPad--err, MyPad--to play some VillageVille. Clearly ragging on the seemingly endless stream of games in Zynga's long-running Ville franchise, Homer covers nearly all the bases.

See Homer chop wood for resources a la FrontierVille. See Homer manage a medieval city filled with miniature denizens. See one of those hapless folks lose his lunch in a barrel. Wait--what? As CE Gamers points out, maybe Matt Groening and co. have been playing some CoasterVille lately.

At any rate, it's always fun to see popular games get a nod (for better or worse) in even more popular media. If you ask us, we'd love to see VillageVille, but only if Zynga made it a parody of all its past games. Only the greatest game makers can make fun of themselves, right?
