FarmVille 'Around the World' Goals: Everything you need to know
While we already have quite a few things to work on in FarmVille right now, from goals and countdowns to building projects and more, there's apparently room for something else on our virtual plates, at least according to Zynga. The developer has released a new set of "Around the World" goals to our game, and we're here with a complete guide to finishing them off, thanks to Zynga itself. Let's get started!
Festivus?
Get 6 Festivus Poles
Harvest 50 Spinach
Harvest Animal Workshop 2 Times
For this Festivus Pole requirement, and all others in this goal series that ask you to collect a material from your friends, you can earn these items by posting general news posts on your wall, asking all of your FarmVille friends to help at once. Since these goals are available to complete across our many farms, we won't be stuck planting simply Mistletoe Lane crops, and you can plant these Spinach squares on any farm. They're available to harvest after 14 hours. Finally, the Animal Workshop is the new "factory" in Mistletoe Lane, but you can place more on other farms to speed this goal up. You'll receive 125 XP, a Pig of Strength and 2,500 coins for finishing this first goal.

Get 7 Crepe Paper
Harvest 75 Morning Glory
Harvest Pig of Strength 2 Times
The second you receive the Pig in your inventory after the first goal, you'll should travel to a farm that has either two Livestock Pens, or is connected to another farm via free storage transfer. That way, you can place the Pig of Strength in one building, harvest it, and then transfer it to another building or another farm altogether and harvest it again without waiting anymore than a few hours at most. This saves time in the long run, and since these goals are timed, you need all of the help you can get. While you're messing with this situation, make sure to plant the Morning Glory, since it takes 12 hours to grow. Completing this goal gives you 150 XP, a Parol decoration and 3,000 coins.
Winter Solstice
Get 8 Bamboo Baskets
Harvest 100 Rice
Craft Black Licorice 3 Times
The Rice can be planted for 45 coins per square and harvested after 12 hours. Meanwhile, the Black Licorice is a recipe the Bakery that requires three Licorice, three Rye and three Sugar Cane Bushels to create. You'll receive 175 XP, two Turbo Chargers and 3,500 coins for finishing this goal.
Holidays in the Summer?
Get 9 Paua Shells
Harvest 125 Grapes
Master Pig of Strength to 1-Star
If you follow our tips above, you can master this Pig of Strength to one star in a single day, so long as you have Livestock Pens that are available to harvest on each of your farms. Sure, it might take some time in waiting for the Livestock Pens to become "ready" again after you place a new animal inside, but if you're looking for a fast way to complete these goals, that's definitely an option. As for the Grapes, they take a full day to grow, so feel free to plant them before you ever reach this goal so that they're ready when you get this far. For completing this goal, you'll receive 200 XP, a Pohutakawa Tree and 4,000 coins.
Straw Goats
Get 9 Red Ribbon
Harvest 150 Sorghum
Harvest Pohutakawa Tree Twice
First things first, the Sorghum takes 10 hours to grow. As for the tree task, it can be handled in the same way as the Pig of Strength task above. If you have a farm with Orchards that are ready, simply travel to that farm, place the Tree inside an Orchard and harvest it. Move the tree to a second Orchard (even if it happens to be on another farm) and harvest it to earn two mastery points in a matter of minutes, rather than days. For completing this goal, you'll receive 225 XP, a Yule Goat and 4,500 coins.
Boxing and the Holidays?
Get 9 Boxing Day Gifts
Harvest 150 Wheat
Harvest Yule Goat Twice
The Wheat here takes 12 hours to grow. As for the Yule Goat, you can handle this animal the same way you did the Pig of Strength, right down to its storage building, since it also needs Livestock Pens. If you have a farm with two Livestock Pens, just travel there and place the Pig inside them both until they can each be harvested. You'll receive 250 XP, a Mystery Game Dart and 5,000 coins for completing this goal.
Festivals and Feasts
Get 10 Kente Cloth
Harvest 150 Squash
Craft Strawberry Licorice Cupcakes 3 Times
The Strawberry Licorice Cupcakes are made in the Bakery, while the Squash can be planted for 40 coins and harvested after two days. If you're unfamiliar with the Licorice crop, it was released earlier this year, and it takes a full day to grow. After you've finished this goal, you'll receive 275 XP, a Book of XP (will launch you to the next XP level) and 5,500 coins.
Festival of Lights
Get 11 Wooden Blocks
Harvest 150 Rye
Master Yule Goat to 1-Star
Again, these animal tasks are easy to complete if you have Livestock Pens across all of your farms, since you can simply place the Goat in storage, travel to the next farm and pull it back out again. Just make sure that you don't accidentally place this goat on a farm without a storage transfer license at the beginning, or you'll waste some time in the long run. Meanwhile, the Rye can be harvested after growing for 20 hours. For finishing this goal, you'll receive 300 XP, a Dreidel Tree and 6,000 coins.
Colors and Family
Get 12 Colorful Paper Mache
Harvest 200 Peanuts
Harvest Dreidel Tree
This last goal is relatively easy, all things considered, as you'll simply need to harvest the Dreidel Tree once, a task that can be completed in any ready Orchard across any farm. The Peanuts take 16 hours to grow, but if you plan ahead and plant these before you ever reach this goal, the only real challenge left in this goal will be collecting the Colorful Paper Mache via one final news post on your wall. Once you finish this final goal in the entire series, you'll receive 325 XP, a Pinata Pony and 6,500 coins. Good luck!
