ESTeem Wireless Modems Announces FCC Type Acceptance of Modem 210C

KENNEWICK, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Electronic Systems Technology, Inc. (EST) (OTCQB: ELST), dba ESTeem Wireless Modems, has been granted type acceptance in Canada and by the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on their newest licensed narrow band wireless modem; the Model 210C. The ESTeem 210C was designed for the Industrial, Public Safety, and Federal markets operating in the 450 to 470 MHz frequency range with both Ethernet/IP and Serial/DF1 interfaces. The 210C using Selectable Quadrature Amplitude Modulation allows data rates up to 54 Kbps in the narrow band channels.

"The ESTeem 210C incorporates the Self-Healing MESH Network capabilities and Ethernet/IP interfacing previously unavailable in the narrow band licensed radios," states T.L. Kirchner, President. The Model 210C Internal Digi-Repeating creates large wireless networks over geographical areas of 10+ miles with 2-10 Watts of RF power. This product will allow a performance upgrade and Ethernet/IP interfacing to existing Water/Waste Water, Oil/Gas and Utility sites that have to comply with the new FCC licensing regulations. The MESH Network also allows mobile Clients to roam seamlessly under the Wireless Canopy.

Featuring high security 128-bit AES-CCMP encryption, the Model 210C will meet the requirements in most municipal, public safety and federal applications. Standard Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) allows critical diagnostics and network management while network functionality supports VLAN pass through and IGMP Snooping. The Model 210C supports multiple modes of operation through programmable selection as a Repeater or Client.

Electronic Systems Technology (EST) has been a publicly held Corporation since 1984. EST was the first company to develop the wireless modem and receive the United States and Canadian patents for this technology. ESTeem is one of the first members of the original Rockwell Automation Pyramid Solutions Program started in 1991 which is now called the Encompass Program.
