Marathon Oil COO Roberts Resigns

On Monday, Marathon Oil announced that Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer David E. Roberts Jr. has resigned, effective Dec. 14. No reason for the resignation was given other than the standard "to pursue other interests." No replacement was immediately named.

Marathon shares closed the day down 1.7% in response to the news.
