Partners Increase Stake in Goldman Sachs

Updated

Goldman Sachs' partners increased their stake notably in the firm last month, a Goldman filing with the SEC reveals. As of Nov. 25, the company's 407 partners held a collective 12.7% of the company. This represents a rise of nearly 1.5 percentage points from October's figure.

Although the percentage of ownership has risen, the number of partners is down by 31 from February of this year. Goldman's list is closely watched, as it is considered an indicator of the state of the investment banking industry's health. The company is the only publicly traded investment bank to identify its partners.
