Old Center Elementary School Wins $25,000 Tech for Schools Giveaway from ZAGG Inc

Nashville, Tenn., school randomly selected from more than 700,000 entries for technology makeover

SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Mobile device accessories company ZAGG Inc (NAS: ZAGG) presented a $25,000 technology package to Old Center Elementary School in Nashville, Tenn., today. As the winner of ZAGG's Tech for Schools Giveaway, Old Center Elementary School chose a combination of technology products tailored to meet its needs. As a result, ZAGG representatives personally delivered scores of boxes filled with items for an updated technology lab, including cameras and iPad 2s.

"Technology is playing an increasingly vital role in the classroom, and we're pleased to be able to support schools as they invest in the tools that can help students learn new skills and enable instructors to teach more effectively," said Kent Wuthrich, executive vice president of marketing for ZAGG Inc. "With school budgets remaining tight, it's vital to bring creative product solutions to technology programs, and ZAGG is excited to work with Old Center Elementary School to do just that."

This September, ZAGG launched the Tech for Schools Giveaway and encouraged community members to nominate a favorite public K-12 school for the $25,000 technology prize package. Through Nov. 12, more than 700,000 entries were submitted at www.ZAGG.com/schools. The winning school was chosen at random and was nominated by Marveya Gooch, who won an Apple iMac computer for her efforts.

"We are pleased to receive this gift from ZAGG and are grateful to Marveya Gooch for uncovering this excellent opportunity to update our technology tools," said Dr. Betsy Potts, principal of the school. "We are focused on giving our children a strong foundation that will prepare them for a bright future, and learning to work with technology is an absolute necessity."

Located 15 minutes north of downtown Nashville in the neighborhood of Goodlettsville, Old Center Elementary School originally opened its doors in 1815 as a one-room log schoolhouse. Today, the school serves more than 300 students in grades PreK-4.
