ValueClick Promotes COO to CEO

On Wednesday, online advertiser ValueClick (NAS: VCLK) announced that it has promoted John Giuliani, previously the company's chief operating officer, to the position of president and chief executive officer, effective immediately. He succeeds James Zarley, who is leaving the CEO's post to become executive chairman of the board of directors.

Before joining ValueClick, Giuliani served as CEO of online display advertiser Dotomi, which ValueClick acquired in August 2011.

Giuliani has an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a B.S. from the University of Illinois.


Shares of ValueClick closed the day up 1.6%.
