AeroVironment Beats on Both Top and Bottom Lines

EPS came in at $0.39. The 12 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ predicted $0.25 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.39 for Q2 were 30% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.30 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 44.4%, 630 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 16.3%, 440 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 10.9%, 270 basis points better than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $97.0 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.48.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $352.0 million. The average EPS estimate is $1.42.
