Covidien Declares Accelerated Quarterly Cash Dividend

DUBLIN--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Covidien plc (NYS: COV) today announced that its Board of Directors has declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.26 per ordinary share. The dividend is payable on December 27, 2012, to shareholders of record as of the close of business on December 14, 2012. This accelerated quarterly dividend is intended to be in lieu of the quarterly dividend which would have been declared in January 2013.
