A week ago I featured Molycorp as one of five stocks under $10 worth buying, and that call proved timely. The rare-earth minerals producer soared as the market interpreted insider buying as a show of confidence in the face of an SEC investigation. Molycorp's 41% pop made it the biggest gainer on the New York Stock Exchange.

Nokia bounced back on chatter that its Lumia 920 smartphone is selling well. Danish analysts at Danske Bank issued a bullish note on the Finnish mobile-phone maker.

Research In Motion continued to move higher a week after announcing a launch event for BlackBerry 10. There's plenty riding on the smartphone pioneer's updated mobile operating system, and analysts are starting to warm up to the turnaround situation here.

Glu Mobile tanked earlier this month, after a disappointing quarterly report. The company went on to lower its guidance and announced a round of layoffs that included closing one of its three offices. Making global games isn't as easy as it sounds, but the market bought back into Glu Mobile last week. The cost-cutting moves earlier this month will help keep expenses in check. All Glu Mobile needs now is a few killer apps.

Roundy's was slammed earlier this month after the grocer slashed its unsustainable dividend. However, the market appears to have overcooked the pessimism. Even at its new reduced quarterly distribution rate of $0.12 a share, Roundy's began the week yielding a tempting 12.9%.
