SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- In addition to serving as a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, Starbucks Coffee Company (NAS: SBUX) is giving customers another reason to visit stores this weekend - the gift of Gold - a Starbucks Gold Card. Beginning Friday, Nov. 23 through Monday, Nov. 26, customers who purchase the Verismo® System by Starbucks at participating stores, Verismo.com, and select specialty retailers will receive Starbucks Gold level status and all of the highly coveted year-round rewards that come with it: a free drink or food item on your birthday, free brewed coffee and tea refills, free food and drink rewards, and other special offers and invitations - not to mention a personalized Starbucks Gold Card.

The Verismo® System is Starbucks new, premium single cup machine that makes espresso and brewed coffee at the touch of a button, allowing customers to create a Starbucks Caffè Latte and other signature beverages in the comfort of their homes. Customers who purchase the Verismo® System can choose to redeem the Gold Card for themselves or gift it to someone else by visiting www.Verismo.com/GOLD and inserting the serial number located on the bottom of their machine.
