Germany Sentiment Index Rises

Data from Germany's IFO Institute showed November sentiment rose for the first time in six months. The news was a shock given the state of EU finances and that chance that the region's largest economy might fall into recession.

The November business climate index measurement was 101.4, up from 100 in October.
