Jack in the Box Whiffs on Revenues

EPS came in at $0.27. The 10 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ averaged $0.30 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.27 for Q4 were 45% lower than the prior-year quarter's $0.49 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 22.7%, 780 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 7.5%, 350 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 3.5%, 100 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $521.9 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.39.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $1.88 billion. The average EPS estimate is $1.54.
