Amazon Instant Video Now Available on Nintendo Wii

On Sunday, Amazon.com launched the Amazon Instant Video app on Nintendo's Wii console. Those who own one of the 40 million Wii units sold since 2006 can now stream more than145,000 movies and TV episodes from Amazon's Video library.

"Today, bringing the Amazon Instant Video app to the Wii console means we're giving our customers even more ways to easily and instantly watch the videos they want right at home," said Anthony Bay, vice president of Worldwide Digital Video for Amazon.com.

The Amazon Instant Video app is already available on Nintendo's new Wii U console that launched Nov. 18. The app also gives Amazon Prime members access to more than 33,000 movies and TV episodes to stream at no additional cost.
