Ryder Recognized as a Top Company in 2012 Newsweek Green Rankings for Third Year in a Row
Ranks Top 4 in the Transportation & Logistics Industry Sector
MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- For the third consecutive year, Newsweek's annual Green Rankings has recognized Ryder System, Inc. (NYS: R) , a leader in commercial transportation and supply chain management solutions, as one of the top green companies in the U.S. Ryder ranked fourth among the U.S. Transportation and Logistics industry sector in this year's rankings, moving up one spot from fifth place last year. Ryder maintained its overall position of No. 111 out of the 500 largest publicly traded corporations.

Newsweek collaborated with leading environmental research providers, Trucost, and Sustainalytics to create the most comprehensive rankings available by assessing each company's environmental footprint, management of that footprint, and transparency.
