The next Xbox in line after the Xbox 360, commonly dubbed "Xbox 720," will undoubtedly be a gaming powerhouse. But new reports from U.K.-based gaming magazine Xbox World and CVG claim that the new Xbox will house Kinect 2.0. Perhaps a "duh" moment for hardcore Xbox fans, Xbox World's latest issue claims to have leaked company documents detailing specifics regarding the next generation of Kinect.

Specifically, the next version of Microsoft's motion controller will offer better accuracy, stereo imaging, better voice recognition and the ability to track four players at once. According to Xbox World, Durango (Microsoft's codename for the upcoming game console) will also come equipped with a Blu-ray drive as well as an A/V port for watching and recording broadcast TV.

These reports come in addition to a purported "innovative controller," which will come with a built-in HD touch screen. (Hm, sound familiar?) To tout its credibility, Xbox World editor-in-chief told CVG, "Xbox World has been at the cutting edge of Durango coverage for over 12 months. Unless something really dramatic changes, everything...will be revealed long before E3 in June."

If you ask this editor, it's more likely that the next Xbox will have no drive at all than a Blu-ray drive, but maybe that's wishful thinking to put this era of physical media behind. As for the next level of Kinect, well, duh.
