CastleVille 'Phoenix Rising' Quests: Everything you need to know

Updated

It's been more than two months since we were introduced to Surly Sal in CastleVille's "Sink or Swim" quests, but the talking fish is back again to help us complete a brand new series of quests called "Phoenix Rising." Sal needs to know if we have what it takes to become legendary wizards, and we'll prove our worth by raising phoenixes in our Kingdoms. We're here with a guide to completing these five new quests, thanks to Zynga. Let's get started!

The Majestic Phoenix

  • Place the Phoenix Nest

  • Start / Place a Phoenix

  • Have 1 Fire Burner

When you first start these quests, you'll be given both the Nest and the Fire Burners for free, so just pull those out of your inventory to finish those two tasks. As for the Phoenix, you'll be able to start a Phoenix by simply clicking on the "Start!" button and then choosing which "affinity" you would like the Phoenix to follow. You can choose either Flame or Frost, which will determine which of the six Phoenixes it will transform into at the end. Once you place the baby Phoenix, you'll complete this quest and will receive 1000 coins and 20 XP.

Light My Fire

  • Have 3 Phoenix Gloves

  • Craft 3 Phoenix Feed

  • Have a Medium Level Phoenix in your Kingdom

The Phoenix Gloves are earned by posting a general request to your news feed. For these sorts of posts, it's best to play the game on Zynga.com, as you can earn them all with the help of strangers, as well as friends. As for the Phoenix Feed, this is crafted using two Fires, four Buckets of Water and one Blazefruit. The Fruit is earned by posting another item to your news feed, while the Fires themselves can be earned from Fire Burners. Thankfully, you received 10 when you first started these quests, so tend those once every 30 minutes for a chance to collect Fire. To reach the size of Medium, your Small Phoenix will need to be fed five times. When you complete this quest, you'll receive 1,000 coins and 20 XP.

The Phoenix Whisperer

  • Craft 2 Fiery Teddy Bears

  • Start 3 New Phoenixes

  • Collect 6 More Phoenix Feed

The Fiery Teddy Bears can be created using two Fasteners, six Cotton Thread, one Fire and six Yellow Feathers. They take one hour to craft each, but you can hopefully have both of them crafting at once if you have enough ingredients. To start another Phoenix after you've begun the first, you'll need to once again click on your Phoenix Nest to access the other three slots. Remember, you can also partner with a friend to grow each Phoenix, saving time in the long run if you both participate. For completing this quest, you'll receive 1,500 coins and 30 XP.

Master of Magic

  • Prepare the Sunripen Spell 2 Times

  • Prepare the Falling Star Spell 2 Times

  • Collect 5 Phoenix Feed

The Sinripen Spell is a green spell that requires items like Eggs, Bags of Sand and Candles to prepare, while the Falling Star spell is blue and requires Alchemist Powders, more Eggs, Buckets of Water and more. Completing this time consuming quest gives you 1,000 coins and 20 XP.

Phoenix Rising

  • Craft 2 Phoenix Down Pendants

  • Witness the Rebirth of a Phoenix

  • Collect 8 Phoenix Feed

Each Phoenix Down Pendant requires items like buttons and feathers (both of which can be earned via general news posts), along with Glass pieces and Aquamarine. It takes one full week for a Phoenix to be available for "rebirth," and hopefully you'll have completely grown the Phoenix within that time. Again, the first start requires five feedings, while the second requires 18. The next is the final feeding, which sees the Phoenix take on its permanent shape, and it requires 40 feedings. This makes partnering with a friend incredibly helpful, so you'll want to partner with a friend for each Phoenix to make things easier on yourself in the long run. Finishing this final quest gives you 1,500 coins, 30 XP and a Phoenix Statue that you can use to decorate your Kingdom. Good luck finishing them all!
