Jefferies' Clients, Employees and Shareholders Contribute $4.5 Million for Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts
NEW YORK, LONDON and HONG KONG--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Jefferies announced today a total donation of $4.5 million to 23 organizations providing immediate help to victims of Hurricane Sandy. The firm's clients helped to generate over $3.0 million in donations through global net trading commissions on November 7th. Jefferies also contributed $1 million directly, and voluntary donations from the firm's 3,814 employee-partners totaled another $500,000.

Contributions will be immediately distributed and designated for urgent, on-the-ground relief efforts associated with Hurricane Sandy, and will be allocated to the following 23 organizations:
