Upscale Boutique Property Implements Agilysys InfoGenesis™ POS System

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Agilysys, Inc. (NAS: AGYS) , a leading provider of innovative information technology and hospitality software solutions, today announced that Hotel 1000 in Seattle has selected Agilysys InfoGenesis™ POS, a point-of-sale solution, to streamline food and beverage operations at the 120-room property, which is owned and managed by Benchmark Hospitality International.

"We selected the InfoGenesis POS system because of its successful installation at several other Benchmark Hospitality luxury properties," said Barbara Hills, general manager of BOKA restaurant and bar at Hotel 1000. "It seamlessly connects food and beverage operations with the hotel's property management system, which enables us to provide a higher level of service. With this point-of-sale technology in place, we are well positioned for the future, with a system that will help us maximize productivity and deliver a memorable guest experience."

The InfoGenesis POS system is award-winning point-of-sale software that combines powerful reporting and configuration capabilities in the back office with an easy-to-use touchscreen terminal application. Designed for multi-unit operations common in hospitality environments, the system can manage any combination of dining, bar service and retail operations. The InfoGenesis POS system features real-time reporting capabilities, packages and prix fixe menus, signature capture, multi-language capability and advanced sorting, filtering and grouping options. It interfaces with a wide range of host systems, such as gift card and guest management solution providers, and is available as an on-premise solution or hosted application.

"Hotels and other hospitality venues require technology that enables them to deliver an exceptional guest experience while increasing efficiency in their operations, particularly in the food and beverage area," said Jim Dennedy, president and chief executive officer of Agilysys. "The InfoGenesis POS system is among the most feature-rich and versatile point-of-sale solutions on the market, combining a wide range of capabilities with exceptional flexibility. The solution not only will simplify food and beverage operations at Hotel 1000, but also will enable the property to capitalize on revenue opportunities and gain a tighter control over costs."

Hotel 1000, located in the heart of downtown Seattle, features 120 luxury guest rooms, full-service spa, fitness center and more than 9,000 square feet of conference and event space. Its award-winning restaurant, BOKA RESTAURANT + BAR, is a mecca for urban American food, late-night cocktails and seasonal patio dining.
