Global Data Center Solutions Provider CyrusOne CTO Kevin Timmons to Speak at 2012 7x24 Exchange Fall Conference

Presentation with JE Dunn to address the growing significance of modular concepts in data center design

CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Global data center services provider CyrusOne, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cincinnati Bell (NYS: CBB) , today shared its participation in the 2012 7x24 Exchange Fall Conference "Vision: From Idea to Impact," to be held Nov. 11-14 in Phoenix, Ariz., at the Arizona Biltmore Hotel. CyrusOne CTO Kevin Timmons is scheduled to deliver a joint presentation with Ed Downey, VP, MEP Division at JE Dunn Construction, titled "Designing and Building a Massively Modular Data Center."

The presentation is slated for Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 3:30 p.m., and is expected to address the growing significance of modular concepts in data center design. Timmons and Downey are going to discuss CyrusOne's new "Massively Modular" design approach to scalable multi-tenant facilities and share details on the development of a new 1,000,000-square-foot campus in Chandler, Ariz.

"Our Massively Modular design approach in Chandler represents some of the most advanced thinking in the mission-critical industry. Designing a facility in this way and at this scale allows for multi-stage deployments in fewer than 12 weeks, enables customers to expand a single rack or full data hall at a time, all while delivering industry-leading energy optimization," said Timmons. "We will deliver 110 megawatts of power capacity from our onsite substation to be built on the property, which we believe will result in the largest and most efficient multi-tenant data center in the entire Southwest."

CyrusOne specializes in highly reliable enterprise data center colocation, engineering facilities with the highest power redundancy (2N architecture) and power-density infrastructure required to deliver excellent availability. The company's Chandler facility is planned for completion in December 2012 and is expected to become the largest of its kind in the country.

The 7x24 Exchange is the leading knowledge exchange for those who design, build, operate, and maintain mission-critical enterprise information infrastructures. The fall conference is expected to provide insights into what is being planned and executed by leading companies to mitigate or eliminate downtime risks.

CyrusOne and JE Dunn plan to host a cocktail party on Monday, Nov. 12 from 8 to 11 p.m. in the Aztec room of the Biltmore Hotel. Registered guests can enjoy late-night snacks, a full bar, and island entertainment provided by The Walkens. A raffle is going to be held during the event for an opportunity to win an 80-inch flat-screen TV.
