Cintas Partners with New York-Based Fashion Designer Jay Godfrey to Launch Fashionable New Apparel Collection for Hospitality

Garments unveiled during 2012 International Hotel/Motel + Restaurant Show

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Uniform options for the hospitality industry just got a lot more glamorous with the new wardrobe collection from Cintas Corporation (NAS: CTAS) , a world leader in fashion-forward corporate apparel. During this year's International Hotel/Motel + Restaurant Show, Cintas revealed a partnership with New York-based, award-winning fashion designer Jay Godfrey to create a new line of stylish, distinctive and durable suiting for hotels. Currently exclusive to W Hotels Worldwide, the Jay Godfrey Suiting Collection will be available to all organizations in early 2013.

"We are very excited to offer hoteliers high-performing apparel with a red-carpet feel," said Dan Ambrosio, Vice President of Global Lodging & Cruise, Cintas. "Our collaboration with Jay is a great fit for the design-driven atmosphere and stylish clientele of contemporary lifestyle brands."

As part of the unveiling, Godfrey appeared at the Cintas booth on Sunday, Nov. 11, to discuss the collaboration with Cintas and his inspiration for the program. With a celebrity following that includes Hollywood stars such as Eva Longoria, Emma Stone and Jennifer Lopez, Godfrey worked in collaboration with Cintas to create a distinctively contemporary, yet timeless black suiting collection for men and women. Slim-fitting silhouettes with narrow lapels, high notch collars, shell buttons wrapped in stainless steel and signature Jacquard dot-lining with magenta piping complement Cintas' innovative fashion technologies. When paired with custom accessories, the suiting collection exudes modern sophistication.

"The collaboration with Cintas gave me the opportunity to incorporate elements of the runway into garments designed for the workplace," said Godfrey. "Our goal was to revolutionize the way uniforms are worn in the workplace so that men and women in hospitality look and feel comfortable and fashionable. The new suiting collection is the perfect blend of fashion and function."

Having only been in business six years, Godfrey's work has been featured in WWD, ELLE, Cosmopolitan, the New York Post and "America's Next Top Model." In 2008, Godfrey received the Parsons Alumni Achievement Award in recognition of his talent and accomplishments, and in April 2012, he opened his first free-standing boutique in New York's historic Meatpacking District.

"Our mission is to provide apparel that enhances our clients' image and brand," added Ambrosio. "Working alongside Godfrey, the creation of this collection takes our trusted capabilities to the next level by incorporating the latest in retail-inspired apparel."

W Hotels Worldwide is the first hotel brand to debut the new wardrobe in 28 North American properties, with plans to expand the wardrobe globally.
