Sports Authority Announces Black Friday and Presale Deals

Doors open at MIDNIGHT on Black Friday with more than 100 doorbuster offers!

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Sports Authority, one of the nation's largest full-line sporting goods retailers, announced its 2012 Black Friday Doorbusters' to give shoppers a sneak peek at the best deals this holiday season. Sports Authority is the premiere sporting goods store for the entire family, featuring the top name brands customers want like Nike, Under Armour, adidas, The North Face, TaylorMade and ProForm. Customers can shop Black Friday deals on fitness equipment, games, bikes, golf gear and much more.


For the first time ever, most Sports Authority locations will open at midnight on Friday, November 23 and will feature Black Friday doorbuster deals that will be available until 3PM on Friday, while supplies last. Sports Authority is also hosting a 2-Day Sale that will run through Saturday, November 24. Customers who want to get a head start on shopping can also take advantage of Sports Authority's Black Friday Pre-Sale event which takes place November 11-17. The Pre-Sale includes Black Friday pricing on more than 25 products that can purchased in-store two weeks prior and picked up over Black Friday weekend.

New this year, Sports Authority has launched a loyalty reward program, The League, where customers earn 5% back on all in-store merchandise when they earn 100 points or more during a calendar quarter. Members will also earn Double Points on all Sports Authority credit card purchases starting Black Friday and going through Monday, December 31.

Sports Authority is hiring approximately 2,500 employees for the holiday season to ensure each store is staffed with knowledgeable customer service representatives to assist in selecting the perfect holiday gifts for friends and family this year.
