Brinker International Names New CEO

Wyman Roberts, the president of Chili's Grill & Bar, will step up to become CEO and president of parent company Brinker International (NYS: EAT) on Jan. 1, the company announced yesterday.

Brinker owns Chili's Grill & Bar and Maggiano's Little Italy. It has 1,585 restaurants serving more than 1 million guests daily and generates $2.8 billion in annual revenue. Brinker also holds a minority investment in Romano's Macaroni Grill.

Roberts, who took the helm at Chili's in 2009, will remain as Chili's president. He also has served as Brinker's chief marketing officer and president of the Maggiano's Little Italy Brand.


Current CEO and President Doug Brooks, who has been with the company for 35 years, will continue to serve as chairman of the board through December 2013, the company announced.
