FarmVille Big Harvest Goals: Everything you need to know
If you've yet to jump into the Christmas-themed world of Mistletoe Lane in FarmVille, there's still plenty of new content to dive into over the next few weeks, starting with a nine part goal series called "Big Harvest." You'll only have two weeks to finish this entire series, but if you do happen to finish with time left over, you can complete them again for extra rewards. First things first though, we're here with a look at this new goal series, thanks to Zynga. Let's get started!
Harvest Time!
Get 6 Sickles
Harvest 50 Wheat
Harvest 2 Chicken Coops
For this "Get 6 Sickles" task and every other task that asks you to get a certain number of a collectible, you'll be able to earn these items by posting a general request on your news feed. Meanwhile, Wheat takes 12 hours to grow and Chicken Coops take a full day to become ready to harvest. Luckily, you can just travel between two farms that happen to have Chicken Coops and harvest them within seconds to finish that particular task. Completing this first goal gives you 125 XP, a Grain Bin decoration and 2,500 coins.
Tie It Up!
Get 7 Sheaf Ties
Harvest 75 Cotton
Harvest Horse Paddock 2 Times
Like the Chicken Coop task before, you can simply visit two different farms to tend Horse Paddocks, if you don't happen to have two on the same farm that are also ready to harvest. As for the Cotton, it takes another 12 hours to grow, so feel free to plant both the Cotton and the Wheat from the first goal at the same time. That way, they'll both be ready at the same time and you won't have to wait another 12 hours for crops to grow when you reach this second goal. You'll receive 150 XP, a Black Ox and 3,000 coins for finishing this quest.

Harvest 100 Rye
Harvest Black Ox 2 Times
Rye takes 20 hours to grow, so this is another crop that you'll definitely want to plan ahead with, even if it means planting these Rye crops on another farm and coming back to them later just to save time and space. The second you receive the Black Ox in the previous goal, you should definitely place it into some sort of animal storage building to make this particular task easier. For completing this goal, you'll receive 175 XP, an Unwither Potion and 3,500 coins.

Get 9 Winnowing Fans
Harvest 125 Soybeans
Master Black Ox to 1 Star
Even though you may only need to harvest the Black Ox two times for the previous goal, you'll definitely want to keep harvesting him as much as you can to master him to 1-star. As an added tip, you can even take the Ox out of one building and place it in another (if you have matching buildings) in order to save even more time (rather than waiting a full 24 hours for the same building to become ready to harvest day after day). While it's easy to get caught up in the Ox tending, don't forget to plant some Soybeans as fast as you can as well, since they take a full day to grow. You'll receive 200 XP, an American Alpine Goat and 4,000 coins for completing this goal.

Harvest 150 Rice
Harvest American Alpine Goat 2 Times
Just like the Black Ox, you'll want to put this Goat into a Livestock Pen as fast as you can. If you've yet to harvest your Livestock Pen(s) on the day that you receive this Goat, you'll be able to earn your first "harvest" in just a matter of minutes, and will then only need to wait one day to earn the second point, rather than two. Or, you can move the Goat from one pen to another to save even more time. As for the Rice, it takes 12 hours to grow. You'll earn 225 XP, a Turbo Charge and 4,500 coins for completing this goal.

Get 9 Flags
Harvest 150 Tomatoes
Master American Alpine Goat to 1 Star
This is another situation where planning ahead is key as you'll want to keep constant track of your American Alpine Goat, and move it around to different buildings to earn mastery points faster than you would normally. While you're messing with that, you can have your Tomatoes growing in the background. They can be harvested after eight hours. You'll receive 250 XP, a Mystery Game Dart and 5,000 coins when you finish this goal.

Get 10 Harvest Bins
Harvest 150 Peanuts
Harvest 2 Livestock Habitats
If you don't have two Livestock Pens on the same farm, remember that you can travel across farms in order to earn both points without waiting. If you're planning ahead, just make sure that you leave two pens un-tended so that you don't have to wait for them to become ready again after starting on this particular goal. Also remember to plant those Peanuts as quickly as you can, even if it means planting them before you ever reach this goal, as they take 16 hours to grow. You'll receive 275 XP, a Black Holstein Cow and 5,500 coins for completing this goal.
Tractor Time
Get 11 Tractor Polish
Harvest 150 Pumpkins
Harvest Black Holstein Cow 2 Times
You probably get the drill by now. The second you receive the Cow, place it in an animal storage building so that you don't have to wait its full amount of time to become ready to harvest, and plan ahead as much as you can by planting Pumpkins. They take eight hours to grow, which may not be a lot, but by the time you've made it this far into the goal series, you may not have much time left to complete them before they expire. We've said it before, and we'll say it again: planning ahead is key. You'll earn 300 XP, a Gnome Harvester and 6,000 coins for completing this goal.
Hot Stuff
Get 12 Thermoses
Harvest 200 Squash
Master Black Holstein Cow to 1 Star
Like the Black Ox above, you'll want to keep harvesting the Cow as much as you can until it's mastered, so that you can hopefully have this task completed long before you ever reach this specific goal. The final crop in this series takes a full two days to grow, so if you're running out of time to finish these goals, make sure to check your Gift Box for any left over Instagrow Potions that will help you finish them in time. You'll receive 325 XP, a Giant Jersey Chicken and 6,500 coins for completing this final goal. Good luck!
