CityVille Youth Rec Center: Everything you need to know

Updated

With the weather turning cold in your town in CityVille, it's time to give the kids of your virtual city a place to hang out when it's just too cold for outdoor fun. This hangout spot is the Youth Rec Center, which is now available to place and build in your city via the "Kidding Around" goal series. We're here with a look at the construction of this Youth Rec Center, so let's get started!

Kidding Around

  • Place and Complete the Youth Rec Center

  • Collect from 40 Apartments

  • Upgrade Crew Center

The Youth Rec Center is a community building that can be upgraded, but initially starts out by offering your town a maximum population boost of 540 citizens. Its base must be built using 10 energy, and you'll then need to ask 10 different friends to come work in the building as your staff. If you don't want to wait, you can also simply purchase "Bonus Crew," represented by Samantha, that will fill in the building's construction automatically.

When the Rec Center is complete, you can immediately start the upgrade process, but won't need to in order to technically complete this goal. If you choose to jump into the upgrade right away though, this comes with the expected building material collection process, as you'll need to collect four Halfpipes, four Bean Bag Chairs, four Laser Tag Vests, four Basketballs and four Air Hockey Tables to complete the upgrade. The Laser Tag Vests and Basketballs are earned through general news posts on your wall, while the other three items are earned by sending out individual requests to your neighbors. In the case of the first two items, it's definitely worth playing CityVille on Zynga.com for a bit, as you can ask the entire pool of worldwide players for these items, rather than just your friends.

Finally, the Crew Center is another building project that is completed by spending five energy to construct the base and then asking for a variety of building materials to simply finish level one. The Crew Center itself is used to earn up to 50 Bonus Crew over time, so it's definitely a building that's worth constructing in the long run. When you complete this goal, you'll earn 150 XP and three energy, and will unlock two more goals to complete in this three part series. Good luck!
