Is the Nexus 4 Domestically Doomed?

Google (NAS: GOOG) just recently unveiled its new Android flagship, the Nexus 4. The biggest omission on the feature side is that the Nexus 4 will not feature 4G LTE data speeds. 4G LTE is the new standard the domestic market, where the two largest carriers, AT&T (NYS: T) and Verizon (NYS: VZ) , are aggressively pushing LTE in the hopes of increasing data usage and revenue after spending billions in network expansion. The decision shows that Google is focused more heavily on the international market, where Android now has a 75% global market share. Apple's (NAS: AAPL) iPhone comprised 60% of smartphone activations on AT&T and Verizon last quarter, so it's a more even competition in the U.S.
