EPIQ Systems (NAS: EPIQ) reported earnings on Nov. 2. Here are the numbers you need to know.

EPS came in at $0.24. The three earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ averaged $0.26 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.31 for Q3 were 158% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.12 per share.

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 59.0%, 560 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 11.0%, 120 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 13.4%, 730 basis points better than the prior-year quarter.

Looking ahead
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $91.8 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.25.

Next year's average estimate for revenue is $362.1 million. The average EPS estimate is $0.96.
