CEMEX Building Award Recognizes the Best in Architecture and Construction in 13 Countries

  • CEMEX award has identified the best construction projects in different categories in Mexico and the world for 21 years

  • The "Life and Work" award and the "Architect Marcelo Zambrano" scholarship were also awarded

  • There were 634 participating projects this year

MONTERREY, Mexico--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- CEMEX, S.A.B. de C.V. ("CEMEX") (NYS: CX) announced the winners of the XXI Edition of the CEMEX Building Award, recognizing buildings that stand out for their construction, conceptual, technical, and aesthetic solutions.

The CEMEX Building Award selects the best buildings constructed in 13 countries, including Mexico. It recognizes the most outstanding project in three categories, along with two special prizes.


In the edition of the event that is exclusive for projects in Mexico, awards were given in nine categories, as well as four special prizes.

The "Life and Work" Award was given to José María Garza Ponce, renowned Mexican Engineer, for his outstanding 60-year career in the construction industry and his significant contribution to Mexico's urban development.
