Arrow Electronics Beats on EPS But GAAP Results Lag

EPS came in at $1.02. The 12 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ predicted $0.99 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.94 for Q3 were 18% lower than the prior-year quarter's $1.15 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 13.4%, 30 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 3.3%, 90 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 2.1%, 40 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $5.38 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $1.23.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $20.38 billion. The average EPS estimate is $4.38.
