Don't Underestimate Google
The following video is part of our "Motley Fool Conversations" series, in which analyst John Reeves and advisor David Meier discuss topics around the investing world.
On the heels of Apple's launch of its iPhone 5 and iPad Mini, Google introduced its Nexus 4 smartphone, an updated Nexus 7, and the new Nexus 10 tablet. John and David wouldn't underestimate Google at this point. The tablet wars are really heating up, as there are all sorts of offerings, each serving different purposes. Microsoft wants the Surface to kickstart its mobile OS offering. Amazon.com wants its Kindle Fire to be a gateway to its content. Even Best Buy is getting into the act and Hewlett-Packard wants to give it another go.
What makes Google such a formidable foe -- and what makes its shares so attractive -- is that it has Android, it's learned how people use their mobile devices, and it has plenty of additional content. See more in the following video.
