Webcast scheduled for November 7, 2012, at 12:00 p.m. EST

NORWOOD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) in partnership with distributor Avnet Electronics Marketing, will broadcast "The Fundamentals of Energy Metering" on November 7, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. EST. In this webcast, we'll explore different system architectures of 3-phase electricity meter applications. The focus will be on differences between various current sensors and implication on the analog front, power supply and data isolation, metrology computations and system performance. Current Transformers (CTs), di/dt (Rogowski coils) and shunt resistors will be discussed. Registration is free and open now here.


The Presenter

Petre Minciunescu, PhD. is a Systems Engineer of the Energy Metering Group at Analog Devices, Inc. (Wilmington, MA). He joined ADI in 2000 and has held a variety of systems engineering roles within Motor Control and DSP organizations. He graduated with an Electrical Engineering degree from Polytechnic Institute in Bucharest, Romania in 1988 and received the Ph.D. degree from the Politecnico University in Turin, Italy in 1996.
