EPS came in at $0.27. The 11 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ predicted $0.32 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.27 for Q3 were 31% lower than the prior-year quarter's $0.39 per share. (The prior-year quarter included $0.01 per share in earnings from discontinued operations.)

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 30.6%, 2,460 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 30.6%, 130 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 16.7%, 590 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.

Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $1.51 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.43.

Next year's average estimate for revenue is $5.28 billion. The average EPS estimate is $1.59.
