Every Friday, we scan the weekly ads, deal sites and retailer marketing emails to find the best deals available for the coming week. Here are a few of the best freebies and limited-time offers we found.

• We usually steer clear of contests in this column, preferring to tell you about sure-thing deals. But the promotion that FedEx (FDX) is currently running looks like it has decent odds. When you "like" the company's Facebook page you can enter to win one of 40,000 American Express gift cards worth $25 each. You can enter the contest between now and 11:59 p.m. ET Sunday night, and you'll need to give your name and address.

The contest is tied to the annual Small Business Saturday event, which takes place the day after Black Friday and falls on Nov. 24 this year. As such, it appears the cards are only good on that day, and only at businesses that accept American Express (AXP). However, it's not entirely clear whether the cards will be good at all business accepting American Express, or if FedEx has a list of eligible small businesses forthcoming.

• If you thought only one day was going to be "Black" this month, think again. Online electronics retailer NewEgg has announced its "Black November Blastoff Sale." In addition to deals on computer components for the build-your-own-PC types, there are plenty of other electronics and software on sale, including laptops, electric razors and video games. The promo codes included in the sale are good through Wednesday.

• Banana Republic's (GPS) excuse for having a sale this weekend is Daylight Saving Time, which ends this Sunday. Because we're getting an extra hour, Banana Republic's website is giving you an extra 30% off your order of $150 or more. To get the deal you'll have to enter the code BRXTRAHOUR. Suits, bags, leather, cashmere and a few other item classes are excluded from the sale, which lasts through Sunday.

• Menswear retailer Jos. A. Bank (JOSB) is one of those shops that doesn't need an excuse to have a sale -- in fact, it runs sales so often that we tend to just ignore them. But whereas most of its sales are of the "buy one suit, get a second one free" variety, the sale it's running this weekend is more straightforward: Everything on its website is 50% off, with no minimum purchase. That means that if you only need one suit, there's still a deal for you. The sale includes everything except shoes and gift cards, and eligible items are automatically discounted without the use of a coupon code. The sale lasts through Sunday.
