Two Health Care Industry Leaders Seek the Country's Healthiest Workplaces

CBIZ and Edington Associates Now Accepting Applications for the 2013 Edington Next Practice Awards


LEAWOOD, Kan. & ANN ARBOR, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- CBIZ Benefits & Insurance Services Inc. and Edington Associates LLC are pleased to announce that the application submission period for the 2013 Edington Next Practice Awards will run from November 2 - December 7, 2012.

The Next Practice Awards recognize organizations that are actively engaged in the pursuit of a healthy, high-performing workplace and workforce. The awards specifically acknowledge companies that demonstrate unique approaches to improving the wellbeing of workplaces and employees and excel in innovation and initiatives to keep employees well.

Applicants of the Next Practice Awards are selected based on the five pillars of successful pursuit of achieving a healthy work environment: 1) Senior Leadership; 2) Operational Leadership; 3) Self Leadership; 4) Recognition and Rewards; 5) Quality Assurance.

Dee Edington, Ph.D., and founder and chairman of Edington Associates LLC, offers, "Together with CBIZ, we are seeking from the business world the best examples in healthy workplaces, lifestyles and overall wellness. Applicants are asked to complete an online pre-qualification survey proving progress/pursuit across all five pillars, which will be available at Edington Next Practice from November 1 - December 7, 2012.

The survey must be completed by an employee of the applicant's organization and one single submission will be accepted. Upon pre-qualification, approved applicants will be invited to submit an application and a short description of their outstanding, unique or innovative "next practice," including organizational resources dedicated to the initiative, participation and engagement rates, related outcomes and supporting visual program materials.
