Carrier raises funds; shows The Movement on board in November

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Frontier Airlines today announced it is launching a month-long fundraising and awareness campaign for Boulder, Colo.-based Make A Hero, an organization founded by Kurt Miller with a mission of helping individuals with disabilities and local adaptive sports groups gain recognition and funding.

Frontier will raise funds to support Make A Hero by donating all proceeds from onboard sales of Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory's Plain Ol' Fashioned Fudge to the organization. The carrier will also feature Miller's documentary The Movement, narrated by Robert Redford and Warren Miller, on its LiveTV programming on flights of two hours or less.

"Frontier, as a Colorado-based airline, has long supported organizations that help the disabled enjoy the outdoors in our home state through adaptive and rehabilitative sports programs," said Cathy Rieb, Frontier's director of marketing. "We hope our customers find The Movement to be as inspiring as we did and choose to share the efforts of Make A Hero, and other local organizations, to expand these adaptive sports programs to reach even more people across the country."

About The Movement

THE MOVEMENT: One Man Joins an Uprising is the story of one man returning to the mountain where his life was changed forever. He receives inspiration in his quest from four people who overcame physical disabilities to discover the freedom of movement. Peppered with humor and drama, this is a story of people who face adversity with an intense inner fire.

In 2004 Rick Finkelstein was paralyzed in a ski accident on Aspen Mountain. With a severed spine and internal trauma, he wasn't expected to live. Six years, nine surgeries, and a lifetime of rehab later, cameras captured his dramatic return to Aspen. Even with the latest gear, expert coaching, and mentorship from the sport's pioneers, Rick faced a daunting challenge with many risks and no guarantees.

Rick's friend, witness to the crash: "It wasn't until later that I completely broke down. You realize that it's just so fragile."
