Chamberlain College of Nursing's Houston campus president selected for contributions to quality healthcare and commitment to the nursing profession

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Chamberlain College of Nursing is pleased to announce that Houston Campus PresidentMary Judith Yoho, PhD, MSN, RN, CNE, was selected as one of "20 Outstanding Nurses of 2012" by the Texas Nurses Association (TNA) District 9. The 20 honorees will be recognized at the Nursing Celebration 2012 on Nov. 8. TNA District 9 is one of 28 districts represented by Texas Nurses Association, the oldest professional nursing association in the state.

"With 35 years of experience in nursing practice, leadership and advocacy, Dr. Yoho is a valuable resource and mentor for her peers and students," said Terry Throckmorton, PhD, RN, president of TNA District 9 and professor at Chamberlain College of Nursing's Houston campus. "Dr. Yoho's dedication to student success, quality care and high standards have made a marked impact on the industry and our local community."

Dr. Yoho has held roles in nursing practice, instruction, research, management and education policy. Throughout her career, she has coordinated and participated in multiple grant projects and has authored and co-authored nine publications on topics including student testing and faculty recruitment and retention.
