EPS came in at $0.34. The 13 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ predicted $0.35 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.31 for Q3 were 63% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.19 per share. (The prior-year quarter included $0.02 per share in earnings from discontinued operations.)

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 58.5%, 90 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 20.4%, 170 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 7.1%, 230 basis points better than the prior-year quarter.

Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $748.2 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.30.

Next year's average estimate for revenue is $3.01 billion. The average EPS estimate is $1.31.
